The Mental Health Matters community update event on April 30, 2024, highlighted key learnings, accomplishments, and initiatives by local organizations addressing mental health in Bartholomew County.
Keynote speaker Amelia Zachry shared her journey of overcoming PTSD and bipolar disorder II, stressing the importance of reducing stigma and fostering community support. Her inspiring memoir encouraged attendees to approach mental health with greater empathy. The event also featured artwork by Kimberly Rose Free, reflecting her personal experiences with mental health.
